Edgar Foundation is a youth-led not-for-profit organization, currently working on financial inclusion and literacy awareness dissemination on topics such as small savings, debt management, pension funds.
Our work also includes poverty alleviation, climate action, elimination of discrimination against women, and reduced inequalities.
Providing education and resources to access bank services, to create the appropriate portfolio for investment, and to be aware of investment opportunities in clean energy, water, waste management sectors that can contribute to nation building and at same time fighting the climate change issues.
The idea for this foundation was started as part of Amartya Sen's Capability approach, which later on derives the essence of 'Hope' as a capability inspired by Abhijit Banerjee.

Working to transform Keelaimullaikudi Gram Panchayat into a Carbon Neutral Village through waste banks, tree planting, and green business models based on best practices from Indonesia and Bhutan.
Identified local women's self-help groups as agents of change. Educating them on turning waste into resources and raw materials to create reusable products through circular economy models.
Contributing to mangrove planting to strengthen coastal and Cauvery delta regions as part of climate adaptation and implementation through the Green Tamil Nadu Mission.
Formulated action plans for 50+ households to promote waste segregation at source, sorting dry waste into 6 types: plastic, glass, paper, e-waste, dress, and bags.
Together, we can break the cycle of poverty and build a sustainable, equitable society for all.
