At Edgar Foundation, we value every contribution and want to ensure a transparent and fair donation
process. This policy outlines our refund and cancellation procedures for donations made through our
website.
1. Donation Refund Policy
1.1 General Policy
Donations made to Edgar Foundation are generally considered voluntary contributions and
are non-refundable. This is because donated funds are immediately allocated towards our programs and
initiatives for social welfare.
1.2 Refund Eligibility
However, we will process a refund in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate Transaction: If you were charged more than once for the same donation due
to a technical error
- Incorrect Amount: If an incorrect amount was debited from your account due to a
technical glitch
- Unauthorized Transaction: If a donation was made without the account holder's
knowledge or consent
- Failed Transaction with Debit: If the payment was deducted but the transaction was
not completed successfully
2. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Step 1: Send an email to
edgarfoundation.ef@gmail.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Step 2: Include the following details:
- Your full name
- Transaction ID / Reference Number
- Date of donation
- Amount donated
- Reason for refund request
- Bank account details for refund (if applicable)
- Step 3: Our team will review your request within 5-7 business days
3. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days from the date of
approval
- Refunds will be credited back to the original payment method used for the donation
- For UPI and net banking transactions, refunds may take an additional 2-3 business days
- For credit/debit card transactions, the refund will appear in the next billing cycle
- Transaction/processing fees charged by the payment gateway are non-refundable
4. Recurring Donations
4.1 Cancellation of Recurring Donations
- You can cancel a recurring donation at any time by contacting us at
edgarfoundation.ef@gmail.com
- Cancellation requests must be submitted at least 3 business days before the next
scheduled payment
- Once cancelled, no further payments will be deducted
- Donations already processed before cancellation are non-refundable
5. Event Registration Cancellation
- If you have paid for an event registration and wish to cancel, please contact us at least 48
hours before the event
- A full refund (minus processing fees) will be issued for cancellations made within the stipulated
time
- No refund will be provided for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event
- If an event is cancelled by Edgar Foundation, a full refund will be issued automatically
6. Disputes
If you have a dispute regarding a donation or payment, please contact us directly before raising a
dispute with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving all payment issues amicably.
